🌟 External vs. Internal Triggers: What’s Causing Your Stress? 🌟
Stress can come at us from all angles, often when we least expect it. But did you know that it usually stems from two types of triggers—external and internal? Recognizing these can be a game-changer in how you manage stress!
🔹 External Triggers
These are stressors from the world around us. Think about:
- Work deadlines piling up
- Financial pressures
- Relationship conflicts
- Sudden changes like moving or unexpected life events
These external factors can feel overwhelming because they’re often out of our control. However, the real power comes when we identify these triggers and take proactive steps to handle them.
🔹 Internal Triggers
On the flip side, internal triggers are the stressors that come from within. These are the stories we tell ourselves, such as:
- Self-doubt and negative self-talk
- Perfectionism or fear of failure
- Worrying about things that might happen
These internal stressors are just as powerful (if not more!) than external ones. The good news? Since they come from within, we have the power to change our mindset and reframe these thoughts.
🌱 Building Emotional Resilience
Understanding both internal and external stress triggers is the first step toward building emotional resilience. When we learn to recognize what’s causing our stress, we can respond more effectively, stay grounded, and regain control.
